2 month doctor appointment

Today Tyler went for his two month doctor visit. He was actually really good considering he had to get 4 shots and a oral vaccination. The vaccinations he received today were for rotavirus; pneumococcal; Hib; diphtheria, tetanus, and pertussis, and finally polio. Of course they checked him out and took new measurements:

Weight: 13lbs (72%)
Height: 24 1/2 in (87%)
Head Circumference: 15 3/4 (40%)

Therefore, he is growing. He gained 3.5lbs and 2 1/4 inches over the past month. All is going well. Here are a couple updated pictures of the past week. He met a new friend and Toby is getting more brave

Snow Falls in GA, just for Tyler!

We have made it two months already since Tyler was born. Life is good!

God gave Tyler a snow shower for his 2 month birthday! This is exciting because it hasn’t snowing on our house in 5 years. To commemorate the day Tyler wore snowflake PJs handed down from his cousin Micah. He slept really well that night!

After the snow fell on Wednesday, we prepared for a visit from Grandma and Grandpa Painter. It was Grandma’s birthday on Friday so we made her some cupcakes and forced (yeah right) her to feed Tyler a bottle.

The weekend was a little stuffy for Tyler. He caught his first little cold, so he was sleeping a lot and trying not to spit up his meals while coughing. But Monday morning seemed a little better. Here is a picture of him with one of his favorite toys- it sings to him (he LOVES music).

Already 8 weeks!

The past few weeks Tyler has been awake much more during the day allowing him to have longer play times. He has started to smile quiet often and has been wanting to stand up (of course with some help). Tyler also drank a bottle for the first time this month. We are not sure how much he weighs now, but he is definitely growing because some of his 0-3month clothing doesn’t fit him anymore- mostly due to length. As for sleeping, he is still waking up about every 3 hours at night to eat- sometimes we make it to 4 or 5 hours. But as long as we can get a good three hours in before he wakes up for the first time Jamie and I are doing ok with sleep.
