Appointment- 36 1/2 weeks

Today I had an appointment. This one actually was with the Doctor! It was a very positive appointment. Here are a few things that he told me:
1) Tyler has moved so that his head is down and has started to descend but I have not started to dilate yet or anything.
2) Tyler’s spine is toward my right side today which is why I feel lots of movement of his legs and arms on my left side.
3) Tyler is about 6 lbs and the doctor said that his size should not be problem when delivery time comes.
4) Tyler’s heart beat is around 140 bpm.

A funny story from yesterday, Jamie was feeling my belly and push down on Tyler bottom and he definitely kicked back. Jamie thought that it was awesome! We can’t wait for him to be here. Which could be anytime within the next 3 1/2 weeks or so!

Rome Baby Shower

This weekend we had a baby shower in Jamie’s home town. This one was thrown by Tyler’s Grandma Shelia, Aunt Tiffany, and Great-Aunt Diane. We had lots of good food (well some not so much- explain later), great fellowship, and fun baby things to give to Tyler. Here are some pictures of the fun event.

Another Doctor Appointment-34 weeks

Today I had another doctor appointment- well NP appointment. This appointment was suppose to be one of the doctors but it ended up to be with an NP. I was looking forward to the appointment because it was with a doctor. This practice has 3 doctors and I have only personally met 1 of them. I would really like to have had at least one conversation with the doctor that is going to be delivering my son prior to the time in the hospital. Oh well, we will see. My next appointment (in 2 weeks) is suppose to be with the same doctor that today’s appointment was with. We will see if that happens.

All is well with Tyler and I according to the NP. He is measuring at 35 weeks so a little big. But based on friends whom have had babies recently- this is truly just a estimate. I still have lots of swelling of my feet and carpel tunnel is still an issue, but we are making it through.

Ladies Baby Shower

My sisters and my Mom threw me a baby shower last Saturday. This was was only for the ladies. It was a brunch with a few shower games, such as, name the candy bar in the dirty diaper and make predictions about Tyler. There were a variety of friends invited to this shower- friends from elementary school, high school, and college; there were neighbors, former co-workers, and flying friends. The shower was a lot of fun, the only downside was that we had to cook the food in our neighbor’s oven because our GE oven decided it was going to break- we have only had it for 1 year. VERY UPSETTING!

Busy Weekend!

The weekend- well Friday- started off by another doctor appointment. Same old, same old. I am 33 weeks and progressing along nicely. On Friday, Tyler was thought to be positioned with his back toward my back and his head up toward my ribs. I am still feeling pretty well, I believe I have had a few brackston hicks, and recently I have developed carpel tunnel syndrome. My right hand is more sever then the left which makes sense since I am right handed, thus, I have started wearing a brace on my right wrist/hand. It feels better most of the time. Sleeping is getting a little less comfortable- I think I sleep better on the couch during a nap then in our bed for the most part, sad :-(. Nonetheless, we will survive and my next appointment is October 11!

Saturday, Jamie and I got up early to take a quick plane ride up to to have breakfast with his Parents and show off the plane a bit. This was Jamie’s first flight outside of his “restricted” area during his initial flying period. Jamie was able to give several people a ride. But here is a picture of us flying over there.

Sunday, was our first baby shower. This one was hosted by our church friends and was a couples shower- thus, Jamie got to participate too! The hostesses of the shower did a great job, we had a good time and were able to get lots of things that we will use once Tyler is here. Here are a few pictures from the shower.

Here is one of the shower games- the guys had to see who could drink apple juice out of a bottle the fastest. Grandpa Jim WON! I don’t think Jamie did too well
