Made Avionics Subpanel Penetration
Today was quite a busy day. Came home from work, finished mowing the lawn (Jaime started it), worked a little on the airplane, went to Orchestra, came homa nd worked on it some more. But anyway....I managed to make the cutout in the subpanel for the radios. Here you can see the radios in the plane for the first time.
And here's between the panel and subpanel. Notice that the GX-50 and SL-40 penetrate the subpanel but the GTX-320A does not. It will need to be supported. Some people use straps. I'm not sure what I'll use. I do think the best idea is to tie the radios together somehow to keep them from vibrating against each other. I'm also going to come up with some sort of stiffener angles on the penetration.
And here you can see the butt-end of the GPS and SL-40 sticking out of the subpanel. I ordered all my wiring stuff from B&C today so hopefully once I get it I can start cracking on the avionincs wiring.
