CRACKED THE CANOPY (small one)
Yep...cracked the canopy. It's a right of passage I suppose. The funny thing is, I got through all the drilling, cutting and countersinking without cracking it but was able to put a nice one in it with a screwdriver and socket wrench.
An astute observer can easily see *why* the canopy cracked...it's because I didn't trim the canopy edge far enough and the canopy is sitting up on the joggle. The red mark on the canopy marks the place that the canopy should be cut to (approximately). Anyway, I'm going to post some messages to the RV list to see what they say to do about this. I seriously don't think it's a big deal (after I trim the canopy, of course). I may end up using the glue that many builders use just along this area so I'll have screws and glue holding the canopy in. That's probably overkill though. Oh well, I'll see what others recommend I do.
