Dimpling Deburring; Drilled Shoulder Harness Anchors
Today we got back from the west side of the state. We were over there visiting family for Christmas. We got back and I promptly started on the airplane. Jaime took this picture of me polishing the edges of one of the top skin stiffeners and as soon as she snapped this picture the yellow coiled hose in the picture ruptured. It was an...hmm...interesting experience. In the place where the hose failed it look like it had been scraped across a sharp edge. Anyway, this prompted a quick run over the Wally-world (I hate Wal-Mart) to grab another hose. This one lasted 2 years so hopefully the new one will last until this project is done.
Anyway, I spent a while working on deubrring/dimpling the stiffeners and other parts but I didn't get any pictures of that since...well...it's just boring stuff.
Next I drilled the shoulder harness anchors to the longerons. These things are way back in the aft fuselage in order to give a straight shot to the pilot and passenger. Oh yeah, that reminds me, gotta order some seat belts.
