Cleaned Garage; Ordered Seats
We're having our house painted so today I spent quite a while dealing with everything that goes with that. I basically messed around in the garage for a little while cleaning up stuff. I've GOT to stay more organized. I'm just getting way to many little things going on at once and since I'm taking a couple of weeks off I decided it would be more productive to get things organized nicely. Jaime actually had this idea a while back. These clamps are pretty sturdy and do a pretty good job of holding the plans up. I moved all the 'already completed' plans into the house since I've got them in the preview plans anyway. If I need them I can always run inside and grab them.
As I mentioned yesterday, I screwed up the attach piece so I was short a piece of stock. I did have some left over j-stringer which has the perfect radius as part of the bend so I just trimmed off the requisite parts and voila...some more stock.
Today I ordered my seats from Classic Aero Designs. I'm really impressed with the way they look and I hear fantastic things about the quality. I also ordered their carpet. It's a little expensive, but again I think it's the highest quality stuff out there. Oh yeah, if you're considering them you should know that with their carpet they ask you if you're using a carbeurated vs. injected engine so they can make a cutout for the big cover over the high pressure fuel pump if you're going injected.
If you've never seen them, here's what they look like (except the color). My seats will be grey. We're not buying the side panels yet. If we decide to add them later it will be a trivial change.
