Drilled Rear Spar Bolts
So it only took 4 days, but I finally drilled the rear spar bolts today. Jaime took this picture in process...you can see the light coming through the bolt holes. We spent quite a while measureing, remeasuring, etc but finally got the wings as absolutely perfect as possible.
Here you can see a temporary bolt stuck int the left rear spar. Everything is drilled to tolerances. I used my 0.311 reamer that I bought for the gear leg bolts. It makes for a nice snug fit for the AN5 bolts. It's not too tight...it's just about perfect. I drilled both wings and drilled the bottom skin where it overlaps the wings. Tonight we did almost all of our Christmas shopping on-line so that took the evening.
