Today I happened to stumble across an RV builder's website where he mentioned he had an interference problem with a rivet. Well, I looked at mine I had the same problem. Arrrghghg! Thanks for the heads-up, Van's.
Here's a shot a little closer up. You can see where the flat plate of the weldment has hole cutouts for the rivet heads to protrude, but for whatever reason they don't cut one out for this hole. You can see where the powder coat is a little disturbed in there. That's where the rivet had been rubbing. Anyways, I used the sanding drum on my Dremel tool to notch out that little area.
This is the right weldment. You can clearly see where this rivet interferes. The plate there is supposed to be sitting flush.
Then I continued messing around with the left weldment. The heck of it all is that most of the holes fit, but the holes for the wing spar DO NOT FIT. They're off by a good bit.
