Primed/Started Final Assembly of Forward Fuse
Ok, only pictures after-the-fact today. I went out and primed everything to get it ready to rivet and Jaime came out to help me life the center section into place. I also riveted the doubler plates to the side skins where they sit inside of the spar box (not pictured).
If you've read the previous days posts, you'll know that I was sort of struggling with what to do here with primer. What I basically did was to prime the places of the interior that are going to be hid...you'll see below.
Here you can see where I primed the lower part of the baggage skin. This is because the lower baggage walls are going to cover this, so I primed it...leaving the top bare alcad that will eventually get painted.
I also primed the side skins where they sit against the outter seat ribs.
And also behind the gear attach web. I also primed the entire bottom skin. Why? Well, I'm 99.9% sure that I'm going to put carpet in the floor and not paint it, so why not go ahead and prime it with the epoxy? I'll probably be glueing some sort of insulating board on the floor...so I want the best possible coating underneath.
