Mounted Right Aileron On Wing
Today is Easter Sunday and we did the traditional meal with family at our place. Afterwards I decided to spend time with Jaime since we've been very busy the last couple of weeks with the Easter production at church. I need to relax anyway since I haven't actually done that in quite a while.
I did make it out to the garage for a little while and I bolted the right aileron on to the wing. Up unto this point, the ailerons have just been sitting on the wings with bolts just inserted through the brackets holding them on.
Pictured above is the outboard attach point...
...and here is the inboard point. Notice the little spacer that sits in there. I'm not really sure why they use such a long bracket here. I mean, why not just use a smaller bracket here? I suppose Van's has a reason.
I'm hoping this week that I can really get back into the swing of working on the plane. I don't really have that many things on the schedule besides the day job...so this week will feel rather easy (I hope).
