Drilled Right Flap
Today I finished match-drilling the right flap to the understructure. Here it is clecoed together.
And then I trimmed and match-drilled the hinge.
Next I started this impossible task. These little doublers get butted against the inboard-ribs and a rod-end bearing (that I can't FIND ANYWHERE...I assume it comes in the fuselage kit) attaches the flap pushrods to the flap motor.
These things have to get bent to conform to an angle that butts up against them on the spar (you'll see in tomorrow's entry). Bending them is quite a challenge. I basically put them in my vice and absolutely pounded the crap out of them multiple times....and they finally budged a little. It takes quite a bit of oomph to bend 'em.
