Ran Conduit In Left Wing; Started Fabrication of Aileron Brackets
Today I went out and ran the conduit through the left wing. Again, this is a huge pain, but obviously doable. I think it was actually a little easier doing the left wing with the leading edge down (in the cradle) than the way I did the right wing with the leading edge up (in the jig).
This one process alone took about 2 hours...I kid you not.
Next I started looking at the aileron brackets. This was actually kind of fun to pull these out, since it's really been quite a while since I pulled out a new part to work on it.
These interesting thing here is that mine are not pre-assembled. Many other builders have reported that theirs are already assembled...go figure.
Here are all the parts to fabricate the brackets. I started deburring these but didn't get finished.
And what's this? This is the face that I was making as I was futzing around with the bearings for the brackets. They were rather hard to turn at first...then they loosened up. I seriously need to greese these things.
