Cleaned, Temporarily Installed Right Wing on Spar
Today I went out and temporarily installed the right tank on the wing. I almost had a heart attack when I first put it up there because I felt like it wasn't going to go on (maybe too much sealant along the inside flange of the baffle) but then realized I wasn't sitting it straight down on the spar. Once I straightened it up it sat right down on there.
And you can see that I don't have the inspection cover plate on there yet. I'm going leave it off for a while to let the sealant on the inside set up properly. I'll probably install it in about a week or so.
I also installed the drain. Yes...this is as far as it goes in. This is by design to make sure that it's in the almost lowest part of the tank.
Then I checked the spar to z-bracket bolts to make sure they were lining up properly.
You like my mess? I don't care about cleanliness when I'm working with sealant. I just throw crap on the floor, etc. It seems to be easier that way!
