Riveted Filler and Drain Flanges
Today I found a couple of hours to rivet on the filler and drain flanges on both tanks. Of course it's difficult to get pictures of the work when you have black death all over your hands. Here Jaime took a picture of me cleaning up the outside of the flanges after it got back-riveted.
If you look closely, you can see some scratches forward of the filler. This happened when a stray rivet found it's way under the skin while back riveting. Doh! Oh well, I guess that's what paint is for! :-)
And here's the nasty side of the filler flange. I got a bit too much sealant on there...oh well. Also note the fuel vent clip on the forward side of the flange.
And here's the drain flange. Still a little pro-seal on there...but it comes off very easily with a MEK-soaked rag.
