Epoxied Alcad Strips to H-stab Tips
Today after mowing the lawn I started putting alcad stips on the back of my h-stab tips. The purpose of the strips is to prevent the tips from sagging due to heat, etc over time. It's not in the plans, but many people do it and it's highly recommended by experienced builders. I started by marking the correct width strip in this scrap of alcad aluminum.
Ok, here's sort-of what you end up with. I epoxied the alcad strips to the inside edges of the 'flanges' on the tips. Tomorrow I'll drill through the strips then start trimming some balsa wood to fit the ends.
